Help for the flood victims in Bangladesh

In July 2026, persistent monsoon rains in Bangladesh led to severe flooding and landslides. Particularly affected were the southeastern part of the country with the districts of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, and Rangamati, as well as the northeastern part. According to the United Nations, around 1.28 million people were affected, of whom about 436,000 are dependent on humanitarian aid. More than 74,000 houses were damaged or destroyed, and numerous people lost their lives.

Many families found themselves without any means of support overnight. Wells and sanitation facilities were destroyed, leaving many places without clean drinking water. Fields and livestock were also lost, and with that the livelihood of many people.

In this emergency situation, Nezir e.V. was on the ground and was able to provide 400 aid packages. Thanks to your donations, the aid reached families in Cox who desperately needed it.

We thank all donors and our local helpers. The people in Bangladesh continue to need support.
