Pillar of Islam

Zakat

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and an obligation for Muslims. Anyone who has owned wealth above a certain threshold for one year gives part of it to people in need. At Nezir Europe, you can easily donate your Zakat online.

What it's about

What is meant by Zakat?

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and a form of worship through wealth. It supports the poor and needy and creates more justice in society. Those with sufficient wealth give part of it, according to fixed rules, to the poor, orphans, the needy and other people in distress. This narrows the gap between rich and poor. Zakat brings blessings to one's wealth and purifies the soul.

Establish prayer, give Zakat and bow with those who bow.

Surah al-Baqarah, 2:43
